Coffee Coffee Coffee

Coffee and Gelato? Yes Please!

It was two years ago that I discovered Italian coffee.  My husband and I love ice cream, and when we went to Florida there was a gelato shop right across street that we had to try.  It was then that we found our love for gelato ice cream.  In Oconomowoc, WI, there is a gelato/coffee shop right on main street that we decided to try and compare to the gelato we had in Florida.

Golosi’s gelato tasted creamier and sweeter than the kind we had in Florida-it tasted like real, authentic Italian ice cream! Since we loved it so much, I figured I HAD to give their coffee a shot.  EVERYTHING they make is authentic Italian.  Even the beans they use for their coffee comes directly from Italy.

I ordered a Hazelnut latte figuring it would taste like any other one I have ever had.  They proved me wrong!
First of all, when they serve you anything-whether it is gelato or coffee, they put a cute little Italian dessert on the plate as a pleasant thank you.  I eat that first of course.

Then, and I am bummed I don’t have a picture (will get one later on), they top the coffee with some sort of neat design using the froth.

When I took my first sip, I immediately knew this coffee was different.  It had a rich, unique flavor that I never tasted before in any of my coffee drinks-it is very difficult to describe.  I can say that it definitely tasted exotic.  The hazelnut and milk hit your tongue first; then the Italian coffee flavor comes in right after with a big kick.  It is the last taste you get when you swallow.  Amazing!

As for the gelato, I like every kind, but my husband’s favorite is the Oreo cream.  Try them sometime; you won’t be disappointed.  If you love coffee, then you HAVE to try their Italian beans!  Whenever I crave an exotic, authentic cup of coffee, I always head there-no questions asked.

Below are some pictures of Golosi!
